Traders from the east sold earrings decorated with colored pieces of glass and silver, though this is kept all silver for versatile, modern style. Resembling an octopus, the earring motif is offered again by Kalevala after a 20 year absence to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the resettlement of the Skolts. Fittingly, the face of the collection is Heidi Gauriloff, a young Skolt woman who makes music in the Skolt S�mi language.
